My Services

Massage by definition is "the rubbing and kneading of muscles and joints of the body with hands, especially to relieve tension and pain". Over the years I have taken numerous classes that focus on different styles and techniques of massage. I use those different techniques in each session to create a session that is unique to your body and its tensions. More information about those techniques can be found after the session information.

Massage Modalities

Swedish Massage

The most common type of massage. It's characterized by long, lighter, kneading strokes, and gentle movement of the joints.

Neuromuscular Treatment

Digital pressure and friction are used to release areas of strain in a muscle.

Sports Massage

Firm pressure massage, similar to deep tissue, that focuses on movement and stretching to loosen muscles and increase flexibility.

Deep Tissue Massage

Uses firmer sustained pressure to push deeper into muscle tissue and target multiple layers of muscles and connective tissue.

Muscle Energy Technique

Active movement using counterforce to improve musculoskeletal function and joint function.

Circulatory Massage

Comparable to Swedish movements but uses increased pressure and speed to facilitate improved circulation.

Myofascial Release Therapy

Focused manual pressure and stretching to loosen restricted movement and reduce pain.

Cupping Therapy (with Silicone Cups)

Cupping creates suction on the skin that pulls up the tissue and engages the parasympathetic nervous system.

Pre/Post Natal Massage

A combination of Swedish and Deep Tissue massage to reduce the aches and pains associated with pregnancy and delivery.
